About Metrics Baseball Academy

Metrics Baseball Academy was built on a simple premise: bridge the gap between MLB-level technology and local player development. Rather than relying on traditional guesswork or outdated coaching methods, our training methodology is driven by real-time motion capture biomechanics, Rapsodo 3.0 ball-flight analytics, and objective performance tracking. By integrating 1-on-1 local instruction with an interactive mobile player portal, we deliver modern performance analytics and individualized training roadmaps to youth and high school ballplayers across Bennington, Rutland, and Windham counties.

Our mission is to empower youth and high school ballplayers across Southern Vermont with the exact diagnostic insights and individual development roadmaps used by top collegiate and professional programs. Every bullpen and swing session is measured, analyzed, and translated into actionable, 1-on-1 coaching designed to maximize power, optimize velocity, and reduce injury risk.

We believe that high-performance training should be accessible right here in our community. By combining in-person diagnostic assessments with our interactive mobile player portal, we give local athletes the tools, structure, and accountability they need to measure their growth and reach their full potential.

Ryan Topham

With over eight years of youth and teenage development experience across Northern Florida and Southern Vermont, Coach Ryan brings high-level playing experience and modern analytical coaching to local athletes.

A former Division I pitcher and two-time All-State high school standout, Ryan understands firsthand the physical and mental demands of competing at the highest levels. His coaching approach merges real-world collegiate pitching experience with MLB-grade motion capture and ball-flight analytics, giving players throughout Southern Vermont the exact tools, mechanics, and guidance needed to reach their full potential.
